Find answers to common questions below. Of course, feel free to contact us with other questions you may have.
Where do we catch the boat?
Pickups and drop-offs are at the National Park Dock in Cruz Bay St. John. If there is another location you prefer we will do our best to accommodate. Please send a request for a pickup change with your charter information.
What kind of deposit is required to hold a reservation?
A non-refundable deposit of half the full charter amount is due upon booking the charter, with the balance due upon departure. This may be transferred to new dates with a minimum of 30 day notice. Deposits for charters cancelled within less than 30 days of pickup are nontransferable.
What documentation do you need to get into the BVIs?
All guests need valid passports to travel to the British Virgin Islands. The Captain takes care of clearing customs for everyone on board upon arriving in the BVIs so there is normally no need for guests to clear customs in person. The cost per person for custom fees can vary but is usually $85 – $100 per person. This is a one time fee to enter the country.
What is our itinerary?
We typically wait until everyone is on board to plan a set itinerary. Crew will talk with you the first night, factoring weather and sea conditions. If there are any must sees on your list, we will do everything in our power to get you there!
What should we bring?
It is best to avoid large suitcases as the boat does have limited room for large items — duffle bags and backpacks are a better option. Most of your time will be spent in bathing suits. In the evening you may opt to put on clothes to enjoy dinner. Pack light… and remember to bring your towel and sunscreen (no spray suncscreen)!
What if some guests are prone to seasickness?
Unfortunately this is an issue with staying on boats. We recommend taking Dramamine one hour before pickup. If there is a serious case of seasickness you’ve experienced, we recommend seeing your doctor in advance to get a patch. This will ensure you enjoy your time on the boat seasick free.
